LESSON 5: DESIRE

Why do some possibilities pull us forward while others barely matter?

Desire gives direction to what we pursue. It can pull us toward something we want or push us away from something we want to avoid.

But desire does not appear from nowhere.

What we want is shaped by what we have experienced, what we remember, what we believe, what we feel, and the conditions surrounding us.

We can even want several conflicting things at the same time.

Desire creates the pull. What happens next depends on the rest of the chain.
